Our Strategy

Covenant is a Purpose-Driven® church.  This means we are striving to fulfill the following God-given purposes in our lives and in our community:

Our strategy can be visualized using the image of a baseball diamond (see diagram).  This illustrates the various steps of our life development process.  We are seeking to become fully devoted disciples of Christ by continually working through the processes of knowing, growing, serving, sharing.

What does each base represent?  Each base represents a step further along in our journey of faith.  Worship is the “heart” or center of a disciple’s life.  At first base, fellowship, we enter into real friendships and learn the value of authentic relationships.  As we tag second base, discipleship, we deepen our faith through knowledge and practical application of the wisdom and ways of God.  As we develop in becoming more like Jesus Christ, we grow through serving (ministry) others, and we discover the adventure of reaching out to others beyond the church walls (mission outreach)
